Why do we avoid the tasks that matter most?
Untwine
A to-do app for the tasks you keep not doing, because they are hard to face.
I had a task on my list for four months. It would have taken about ten minutes. Every to-do app I tried had a field for how big a thing was and no field at all for how hard it felt, so my list kept insisting the ten-minute thing was easy.

Untwine treats difficulty as its own property, sitting beside priority and effort. Nothing is graded, there are no streaks, and putting something down is offered with exactly the same weight as doing it.
Buying milk is never asked how it feels.

Building it taught me that avoidance isn't laziness with a nicer name.
It's usually a small dread about something specific, and naming the specific thing turns out to be most of the work.
